Initially the building housing the Primary School, during the second part of the 20th century, was a small house situated at the south-eastern part of the village. After the Turkish invasion in 1974 it has been turned into a place of Muslim worship for Turks and Turkish Cypriots who live in the occupied village.
Later the School was moved to a small building (belonging to Loizos Hadjistilli) next to the church. At times students used both buildings to meet their needs.
Just before 1974 villagers begun the initial construction works for a new Primary School and a new church. At that time the Primary School was housed next to the coffee shop of Mr Charalambos Panagi (Yiatrou). The Primary School functioned from 1927-28 until 1928-30 and again from 1952-53 until 1973-74. During the interim, the students of Massari had to travel to schools situated in nearby villages such as Kyra and Filia.
