Just a little while before the first sign of cars and buses, that used to bring the post, the Massari village had its own postman who delivered the letters coming walking to the village, he had his own stamp and was the only one responsible for all that concerned mailing.  The last postman (posting agent) of the village, was Papis of Morfou.  He used to come on food and did the rounds to the villages of Katokopia, Filia, Vasilikos, Avlona and Argaki as well.  He used to carry a basket, and according to the stories of the villagers, they filled his basket with eggs, poultry and anything that they could give him as payment for his services.
