Underground water concentrations called (lagoumia) initially sufficed for the needs of the village.  At a later stage, each house had its own water supply from wells in their own yards.   Eventually water was stored in big cement tanks at the top of the hill for the whole village was a fact. The water tanks were erected at the eastern part of the village, and the water was transferred to the houses with the use of water pipes and concrete water troughs were made available at various points of the village.
